Out little friend Benjamin is not very well.
Because his problem is not related to his extrophy we feel having our hands tied, however we know he is in very good hands!
Good luck Benjamin, we are sure you will be well soon Wink !!!

Hi Max, It is Jane here Bens mum. I have only just read your good luck message. Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts. Ben is doing well. He is a year into his treatment now. He has finished all intense blocks of chemotherapy and is now on maintenance for the next two and a bit years. The maintenance is still quite tough. He is on daily and weekly chemo at home. Every four weeks he has vincristine in his portecath followed by five days of steriods and every 12 weeks he has a lumbar puncture where intrathecal methotrexate is administered. However he is looking more like our 'old' Ben again! His hair has grown back and he has lost the steriod weight. Do you remember when we saw you in the corridor at Pendlebury? Last year was extremely tough for Ben but we are hoping things will start to get a little easier for him. Ben's leukaemia care has been transferred to Leeds hospital so we do not have as much travelling which has made life a little easier. We are looking forward to seeing you back at Manchester hospital and hope you have enjoyed Baltimore? The Carr Family xxx
